Summary
The “Reproductive Education and Family Planning” course, held on 29th August 2025 and organised by the Hungarian Society of Sexual Medicine, aimed to provide professionals working with young people (school doctors, midwives, psychologists, teachers) with evidence-based, practical knowledge on reproductive health. The event, attended by 120 participants and opened by Deputy State Secretary Dr. Attila Beneda, emphasized prevention, health awareness and family-centered thinking.
Lectures addressed the physical and psychological aspects of puberty, female and male reproductive health, contraception, infertility prevention, HPV vaccination, as well as the recognition and management of sexual abuse. Beyond basic anatomical education, the programme promoted a holistic approach, integrating body, mind and relational dynamics into sexual health education.
This training marks the first step of a national initiative aiming to establish a structured, interdisciplinary educational network to deliver reliable and professional reproductive knowledge to adolescents through well-prepared specialists.
